LIFE ROCKS!!

Last month, I read of a guy selling his life - his name and identity, his possessions and his personal quirks, all rolled into one - on ebay. Alfie James, a collegue, decided to do the same, though I am not sure if he would actually do it, in spirit atleast. The idea in his case wasn't to make a quick buck but to try and appreciate what your life holds, everything good about being you that you dont necessarily realise till you put it down in black and white.

So I did. I am a great one for lists anyway. But even I the eternal optimist was staggered by all I've got to be kicked about in my life - work, friends, travel, family, even relationships that did not work outbut were great while they lasted. Not to mention some of my very personal quirks that I realised define me in many ways, like my paranoia about answering unknown numbers on my cell, my inability to take a bite of chocolate - I have to have the entire bar, whtever the size - and my fondness of all things black, be they cars, clothes or moods!I went through my list again, struck that I dont want to be anyone but me, not because I am perfect but because being imperfect doesnt mean being unhappy. Sure I have issues - impatience, procrastination, laziness. But I have more that tips the other side of the scale.
thats why life is all about looking good and feeling even better.

Hell, the point is, I realised that no matter what's going on in my life, its SIMPLY GREAT to be ME!!;)

Summer Coolers!!

Hey guys..

Its been quite some time since I wrote last...its just that lots has been happening on virtually all fronts.. and then this summer's has been different from the earlier one's as we all know, pretty nice to me too : here's how:

I got stuck in this traffic jam and had to take a new route from the village side..I did have my doubts as I thought my vehicle would get stuck! But as I turned out it was quite an adventure..Imagine the muddy village roads...drizzling rain...n a Honda Civic in the midst of a village bypass...nobody around,just animals on the road...tractors and green lands...no trees on both sides and no street light! No directions and nobody to give directions either.. so I had to figure it out myself!!WooHoooo!! The village beauty was breathtaking..n it was one of the best experiences I ever had!

Getting wet in the first monsoon rain! I love to feel the rain drops hitting my body n a chill runs down my spine with every drop! I love to feel the raindrops hitting my face(minus my specs ofcourse!) n drizzling down my neck...

Dancing in the summer rain with a dozen friends and their wifes!;) It was crazy! n wild n most amusing jig tht we ever did!

Getting to know tht some ppl look upto me! phew! that was heavy! but nice.;)

Friends place: A dozen friends...nice music(rock)..dim lights..liquor chocolates...liqour too... suddenly a a love songs..and all the couples get up n start their own Ball-Dance! Nice n romantic.

A gr8 spa: A gr8 head Massage...n the receptionist hitting on you!! Now thats what you call an icing on the cake!

Home: Everybody calling you up all the time for information/guidance etc. etc. Bugging sumtimes...but I love all the attention. Am glad.

5 couples: All working out together....n taking a splash!and I get to teach swimming too...(grins)..Its so nice.. am glad I have such friends. U rock guys!

ME: Goal Keeper??

I have been gripped with the Soccer mania off late..watching UEFA and incidently even coming across movies on it on various muvi channels to my surprise(not tht I dont love it!!...I DO I DO..ABSOLUTELY!!;)..tht, btw, is in addition to talking(n arguing n fighting abt Club Rivalry with my Londoner friends!!)...following it like a religion rite now with UEFA in its last leg...
I was watching my fav. team MAN UTD. playing against one of the other teams when I realised this...
Being a good person is like being a goal keeper...
No matter how many goals we save,
People will remember only the ones that you missed!!;)

The Dream..

The dream I had today was so so much like reality...so much like the wonderful past...was as if I was right there...as if it all happened...again...!! was so magical!! If only I could hold on to it...for ever!!!

Joys...

As I held My bundle of joy in my hand...a shudder ran down my spine...a feeling tht is beyond the words..beyond anything I can ever write...I had a smile on my face which I can never forget...there were butterflies in my stomach...Gawd am so happy...so elated...am topsy-turvy..and am Top of the world...Welcome little one.... Luv u soooooooooooo much...muah!;)

A Brand New Year!!

Hey guys..H N Y. Like all the previous years..this year too it was rocking!! n it Still is..make no mistake....
I just love this time of the year...its cold...but has a lot of warmth all around!!
Here are some of the things that I love during my fav season..WINTERS!!
I love the winter breeze on my face..
I love the hot cups of coffee that I sip thru the day..
I love the business formals that I dress everyday in..
I love cracking peanuts... n munching them..
I love the warm smiles..
I love the constant banter of the kids around me..
I love the Hot hot paranthas that are cooked at home..
I love the eggs..both half fry n smashed!!..
I love the cozy feel that my bed gives..
I love the glow tht I suddenly have on my face..

I love the white mist on the road..the frost on my car...and the hope (especially wishiing n praying to God) tht it snows this Year!!(grins)...reminds me of my time in London!!
